Didn't sound like a 9 km so highly doubt his lungs were in danger of being blown out.
In NYC, the store owner would normally be arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, or for violating the civil rights of the perp who did not shoot.....just brandished an AR.
NYC DA Bragg, would have the store owner in custody for a week at least, based upon the recent Bodega Case.
