Says it bans all gun of over 7 rounds so that’s a lot of guns. Nearly all of them. It says nothing about combining any features or even semiautomatic. Almost all guns would be banned. This won’t stand. I’m sure it would be on the ballot just because they will find enough loonies to sign it, but it can’t pass. People need to be educated about what this would mean. This would mean a ruger 10/22 is banned a 1911 with an 8 round mag banned.

I'm steadily changing my thinking from "no more" to realizing that "other states getting screwed" may be the better outcome in the long term.

Sort of in between. The posted piece provides some initiative content details. A petition initiative was drafted in April by a 79 year old anti gun retired insurance salesman kook who relocated from Iowa to the Parkland Fl area and is apparently trying to captitalize on the high school shooting tragedy. It needs over 766,000 valid petition signatures to get on the ballot and it currently as of 12/31/18 has NONE / ZIP / ZERO valid signatures. The author is likely involved with this stirring of the pot to get some attention since he was being ignored. My guess is the high school activist celebraties were not going to embrace a local rich old white guy as their savior.

I'm not familiar with the process for amending the Florida constitution, but I seriously doubt that it can be accomplished by a simple initiative vote.
