WASHINGTON, D.C. – On January 3rd, the first day of the 116th Congress, Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC-03) introduced the Hearing Protection Act (HPA) of 2019. An enhanced version of previous HPA’s, this legislation includes several suppressor related technical amendments that were first incorporated into the SHARE Act of 2017. The primary focus of the bill is to remove suppressors from the National Firearms Act (NFA), making it easier for law-abiding hunters and sportsmen to protect their hearing while at the range or in the field.

Well, at least it's not an AWB. I hope it goes somewhere, though I know it won't with this congress but its good to see some pro gun bills being introduced (Hudson Reintroduces National Reciprocity on Day One of New Congress). This is what the left does, even when there is no chance of passing, they keep introducing. The pro gun congressmen/women need to do the same and just keep introducing pro gun bills till they pass.

actually, this is important legislation. I agree it won't go anywhere in NY, but if it did, at least the rest of the country will be able to hear the shit storm coming. and Im leaving in a couple years, so my attitude is, *** IF YOU STAY IN NEW YORKISTAN, IT SUCKS TO BE YOU*** I'll be in a free state soon

But most of the country can already obtain suppressors and other NFA stuff.

But they still have to pay dearly for one and basically beg permission to get one. For all I care they can ban the rest of the country from having them. No other way there's going to be any changes brought forth.

For full autos I agree. But silencers aren't that bad. Especially if you make your own. It's the $200 stamp that pisses people off. As far as begging... it's pretty simple. It's just having to wait. But at least it's guaranteed unless you are a prohibited person. Unlike NY where they can just deny you for any reason they please. But why wish the likes of NY, NJ, CA etc on others when moving is an option?

Not everyone has the option to move from this god forsaken state. Until the whole country unites on the issues of the 2nd, nothing will change. It's already going to spread. The whole country needs a reason to unit on this. Just sitting by and watching NY, NJ, CA etc etc etc, fall further into the hell hole isn't going to do shit.
