Help me carry more often

So I just can’t seem to find a carry method that is comfortable enough to use everyday.

I have tried my XDS in an alien gear, n82 , and crossbreed (all IWB) and a ruger LC9 in a pocket holster.

I’m active at work, sitting to walking to laying on the ground under a piece of equipment.

I guess My question is, is there a better method or am I just a snowflake?

I wear jeans or cargo pants every day, never shorts, and a T-shirt. I don’t like loose T-shirts but I would not say that it’s tight either. Same pants in winter with a hoodie or coveralls, or both.

We aren’t in the Wild West and getting behind cover or concealment would most likely take place before doing something.

And it is better than nothing.

Crossbreed at 3:30-4 works too.

I really wanted pocket to work,but I carry a couple pens a sharpie and a blade. And I couldn’t help myself but to keep trying to put them in my strong side pocket and if I put them in my weak side pocket they would all come flying out every time I pulled my phone out

Try Appendix. Although holster comfort is gonna be a personal thing. Also try moving your current holsters up down left right sometimes a half inch make a a big difference.

My go-to during the warmer months is a Kel-Tec P3AT in a pocket holster. Its small enough that I don't feel it in there.

I haven't carried anything IWB that I forgot was there. Even if its not uncomfortable, I'm still very aware its there.

First, what kind of belt are you using.

Second get an actual good holster.... hybrids are not. They may be comfortable on the skin or what ever but they limit you, get a good 100% kydex holster.

Third. Depending on how active and your body type, appendix

A good gun belt make a difference.
+1 slim profile kydex holster or a Don humme IWB belt clip holster. wear it appendix carry.

Reality is carrying a gun is not meant to be comfortable, but rather comforting. Out of the dozen or so ways to carry, I've found that pocket carry to be the least intrusive.

I went with the alien gear belt. I like it and dont have any faults but for some reason I think I'm missing out and want try a different belt.

This has been my EDC belt for 5+ years. Still stiff, no sag, velcro good. Carry OWB a G22 - 27 easily.

Apendix doesn't have to be at exactly 12 o'clock. I carry at 2 o'clock which is still considered appendix. Something like this gal below.



This is me below with a Glock 26.



You can bend down when carrying 2 o'clock with a heavy FBI cant. Even more so with a shorter barrel like the Ruger LCP.

Get a coat or vest with holsters sewed into them.

Remora Holster with or without clip. Stays where you put it and also works great for pocket carry. I appendix carry my S&W Shield with this holster, but you can carry in any position. It’s the most comfortable IWB carry holster I have.

I typically carry between 2-3 IWB with a thick rigid leather belt on a kydex holster with 1 large clip. I'm relatively satistfied with it.

If it starts to get annoying I just slightly move it or even pull my pants up just a tad higher and then I'm good to go again.

I despise the external safety but I can ring a steel plate at 50 yards with that gun every shot. For some reason I can’t with the XDS.45.

Try a good leather holster like Ritchie Leather Holster. I wear an OWB and just leave my shirt tail out. It just takes a little while to get used to it and break it in.

I have also switched to a 2:00 position. Took a while to find best spot, but I am now comfortable in any position

A higher ride is more comfortable but it prints a bit more if wearing form fitting shirts.

I wear low in the summer for max concealment but in the winter, I'll wear it higher.
