Help with Glock sight replacement

Can anyone in the buffalo area or south towns help me swap sights out on a Glock pistol? Just bought new night sights and although it doesn't look all that hard of a task, I don't own the tools. Any help would be appreciated more than happy to compensate you for your time and knowledge.

Did mine myself but depends on the gun. Mine went in easy. I put an adjustable rear sight on a Glock 19. No trouble. You might need a gunsmith with a Glock push tool. Also check out You tube. Make sure your new sight set has the same dovetail configuration as your old set.

Sadly I'm pretty far away from you but I bought my own tools and they weren't as bad as I thought it would be.

It's actually really easy. For the front sight you can go to any hardware store and buy a hex head screwdriver. That looks like a screwdriver but it has a small socket on the end of it. Then I used a grinder to grind down the outside of it so it would fit in the small hole. For the rear sight all you need is a brass punch. If you don't have a brass punch you can get a brass bolt from a hardware store and just use a file to soften any sharp edges that would come in contact. It's been a couple years since I changed out the sights, but if I remember correctly you punch it out from the left side to the right side. But check on YouTube.

If you're uncertain on performing this yourself, as mentioned above it would be worth it to stop at Gun Ctr or Wolcott Guns . 10 minute job and they would have the proper tools.

Thanks for all the input guys. last night i took the slide off the gun in question and was looking at the sights and how they're installed. Upon doing this I realized that the slide has a lot of wear and tear from years of use, so I decided to have the slide refinished with Cerakote. The shop performing the Cerakote said the will install the new sights as well! BOOM! problem solved.

Yea, it is. Thanks I apprecaite it but gave me an excuse to throw on a set of XS Big Dots

I'm all for people ditching stock sights. Hope you get them on soon.. best bet like others have said stop into a shop they should be able to throw them on and even sight it in for ya

That's normal slide wear. I'd rock it until there was a cool patina on it. Your call though.

Yea, I ditched my stock sights on my G19-gen4 for a set of TruGlo Tritium sights. I bought them from my LGS, and my Buddy there installed them for me. I really like them, they are not obtrusive in a bright situation, and glow nicely in the pitch black. I like 'em!

Got my slide back with new cerakote job and XS Big Dots installed. Haven’t gotten it to the range yet though so stay tuned for the range report
