Whoever it is they need to have some name recognition AND have the support of the GOP. And not just a "Go get 'em tiger! Best of luck to ya!" without any financial support like they did with Astorino. I mean real support with campaign ads and blitzes all across the state.

Cuomo has never been weaker than he is now. If he's forced to abdicate (whether through resignation or impeachment) Hocul will be governor but doesn't have the panache that Cuomo had. She's an opponent who could be toppled. If Cuomo hangs on to run for reelection the perfect talking point will be sexual harassment and #metoo. We need a candidate who's squeaky clean on those issues, especially if they're male.

Even now half the state doesn’t want him to resign. Killing people then lying about it then treating women like trash if that isn’t enough what is? No Republican has a chance against him. Too many New Yorkers love him.

I couldn't care less who is next or which party he belongs to. It's going to be the same shit. What's even worse, a new governor will need to push through more gun control to add to his resume. Fuck them all.

Of course Stalin never said that, nor would he have a reason to say it. Why would authoritarian leader talk about winning elections? It's a standard operating procedure in the U.S. to make up quotes and attribute them to world leaders of the past. Mao said, blah, blah, blah. Stalin said blah, blah, blah. Lenin said blah, blah, blah. Our politics is all about telling lies. The public is treated as gullible idiots, poorly educated and easily manipulated.

agreed, I doubt Cuomo is going anywhere. He will simply let this play out. The DOJ will say "bad boy, stop that, don't do that again" The women will be outraged, the media will shrug and it will be business as usual. Cuomo will be embolden to do whatever he wants.

I use to LOVE NY, but the politics make the state unlivable, but now, Im realizing its the politics AND NYC that make the state unlivable.
