As I mentioned in another thread, Kentucky is headed to constitutional carry. The bill passed through the process, and will be heading to Governor Bevin's desk, where he already said he would sign it.
Here is a quote on the issue from my Governor:
"It doesn't break new ground. It simply says that people do indeed have the right to keep and bear arms," said Gov Bevin. "... For those people who are offended at this idea and don't like it, there are other places in America where they could live."
See he didn't say if someone doesn't like it that there is "no place for them here", like cumho has said about us!! BUT, he isn't about to back down from them either.
Here's how our politicians think down here:
"It is not the role of the government to force its citizens to ask for their permission and pay recurrent fees in order to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights," Rep. Savannah Maddox, R-Dry Ridge said while the bill was in committee.
It sure is great to be a "Free" American!!
I don't post this to rub anyone the wrong way, just to show that there are states out there that are not knuckling under to the gun-grabbers, and to let Folks know that there are still freedoms in America!!
