I want to get another .22LR plinking gun and I don't have enough revolvers in my collection.

My budget for this gun is cheap... I saw a nice one on sale for $139.99.

Anyone have one of these cheap revolvers? Do they hold up well in terms of shooting a lot of rounds? Is so, what is your opinion?

My brother has one. He likes it as a cheap blinker. You might also want to consider the Ruger Wrangler. I would trust ruger's warranty a little more over heritage.

I have one and it’s decent for the price. I like that you can buy a second cylinder in 22 magnum for 30 bucks and switch between them. I like that it has the 4 clicks to the hammer like the old colt SAA. I actually like that it has a safety, so that you can safely dry fire it without danger of breaking the firing pin. I like that there is wide variety of styles and barrel lengths available, and a ton of different grip options.

I don’t like that the frame is basically some sort of cheap alloy like most 22’s. I don’t see it standing up to firing 10’s of thousands of rounds. I feel that the ruger wrangler will hold up better to that. The ruger wrangler has a cerakoted finish so the ruger cosmetically might hold up better. I had heard the ruger wrangler is supposed to be a cheapened version of the ruger single six.

My FIL has one and has shot it a moderate amount. There is not much to them so not much to break honestly. I’m sure plenty of it is MIM so if you shoot it a lot maybe it could break. I’m not sure on what parts are available. I’ve shot it and I was fairly impressed overall, but very impressed based on the price.

I have one as well. For the price, you can't beat it. Having the safety can be a little weird at first but as stated above it does come in handy. I too wish the frame wasn't a cheap alloy but it is what it is.

Spend the few extra dollars and get yourself the Ruger Wrangler. It’s a superior pistol to the Heritage and Ruger stands behind all their products. Heritage, not so much.

Thanks for the comments, I'll look at the Ruger Wrangler. I have another Ruger revolver and it has been perfect to me.

I’ve used one as my trap line gun for many years. Has taken a lot of abuse including being fished out of 6 ft of water while beaver trapping. Stills works as well as the day I bought it.
