Won a Ruger SR1911 in 10mm for $575 a few years ago from them... don't think I'll get another good deal for a while. I'm bidding on a few things. Not going too high though, prices have been crazy lately as others said.
Last month or the month before several handguns sold for more than market price (not even taking the 13% Buyer's Premium into account).

I didn't win anything, didn't want to bid too high. ALL of the final prices for the guns I bid on ended up over current retail price except one or two - a SIG 365 SAS sold for $400 (not including 13% buyer's premium). That's a damn good price, my final bid was $325 before I quit. Glock 19 sold for $575, another SIG 365 for $625 (above retail), Glock 17 for $575, Glock 22 (.40 cal) for $450.. Springfield XD .45 ACP went for $350 for one model and $400 for another.

I was looking at a BSA Martini in .310, I've wanted one for years and should've just gone all out and bought it, they also had the die set for it but that went for well over $100! I did get a powered case feeder for my Dillon press for a $150 thats about as good a deal I could ask for. I'll be picking it up Friday and dropping off some things for the next auction.

I "forgot" to post about the big gun auction ending today (translation: I didn't want any of you MFers to outbid me).. Here's how my bids ended today:
I almost put in another bid on the PX4 (my first pistol was a PX4 in 9mm, didn't like the DA/SA for a first pistol and sold it), but I don't have ANY .40 cal ammo and didn't really want to have to stock another caliber (especially one hard to get at reasonable prices right now).
EDITED TO ADD: The "price realized" is before the 13% buyer's premium; it's important to keep that in mind when making bids. Most of the final bids on firearms are at or above retail price. I guess if you're really really wanting a particular piece..
I had never heard of a US Carbine in 5.7mm, but to be honest I'm not that familiar with them.

The American Rifleman January 2001 p.74-75 (authored in 2000) provides a basic review of the IAI M1 Carbine and indicates it was manufactured in Houston by IAI. The receiver was made from investment cast 4140 steel and most parts were manufactured domestically. IAI manufactured parts for the gas system, rear sight assembly, and a number of pins and springs. IAI was planning to manufacture their own trigger housings, bolts, and produce a version in ".22 Carbine (5.7mm Johnson)". The model provided to the magazine for testing had a WWII GI trigger housing and bolt.
According to the author, operation of the carbine was the same as the original U.S. GI carbines and all parts are interchangeable. IAI finish-machined the receiver, barrel, and operating rod. The chamber of the barrel was manufactured slightly tighter than the original GI carbines, and the testing done for the article revealed the IAI carbine provided groups of 2" to 2 1/2" at 50 yards, compared to the GI carbine's 3" to 5" with the same ammunition fired under the same conditions. The IAI M1 Carbine was available in three configurations at the time this article was published.

Post a link to the artillery stuff, that sounds interesting.
I've bought quite a bit from them over the last few years, but only bid on under valued items, always keeping the final price in mind, in fact when you place a bid it will show you the cost with premium, be ware their pictures and descriptions are often misleading or omitting of crucial details...I bought a Remington Blow-molded Case that looked good on the outside, but the fuckers never took a picture of the inside because it was all busted out. It's a gamble, and just like gambling you shouldn't bet more than you can afford to loose.

Yep.. I've won two guns from auction - a Ruger SR1911 in 10mm for $575 (not including buyer's premium), and an old revolver for $100. The Ruger was perfect, but the revolver is very pitted. Not sure I'd trust to fire (believe it's .38?) - I'm hours away so it isn't worth my time to drive up the day before for the viewing. If I was looking for a specific collector's items, probably would though.
It's two hours each way for me, however two other Dealers Bid on items and we generally see who's going up and everybody's stuff gets picked up, but we never go out there to view unless we were already out there.
$575. for the Ruger is excellent!

In my experience they don't sell very well.
I've had several over the last 40 years; never a problem with one, accuracy (always a complaint) wasn't bad as I've killed two Deer with 55gr Cor-Loc bullets at ~150yds.
Unless you don't know jack about MSR's there's little reason beside looks to buy a MIni-14/30.

I didn't win anything, and was totally amazed at what 4 Dan Wesson barrels went for $1000!! Holy shit! I wanted them but not that bad.
Yea $250 each PLUS 13% buyers Premium and Sales tax.
I ended up with some bullets, and some odd-lots of cartridges....fucking .410 shotshells are $50. a box PLUS the BP/ST!
I ought to load up everything I've got and bring it for their next auction

Yeah! $200 for a 1000 large rifle primers, I should've been a dick and sold them there instead of here for $50 per 1000. Sometimes I'm just to nice. Oh well
