i have shot at least two of their pistols. my buddy who owns them, calls them "KillJams"
we shot them bunch and seem to have issue of one kind or another everytime.
i wouldn't own one.
Yes. they are known to have jams but there are simple fixes if you go to the keltec forums
they will tell you. One thing is the springs might be too stiff. after they start chugging they
are fine but I would put them in the nice to have around but not critical duty type of carry gun.
I don't think they are worse than lets say, a Taurus, specially with the trigger groups track record the Brazilians
are known for in many Taurus and others Again, nothing wrong with the barrels of a taurus or stoeger and other
things but might need someone to work in retrofitting those horrible trigger groups and also for safety's sake.
I don't think the Keltec pistols are fundamentally bad but they are not put through the type of tests
and QA, critical duty pistols do, like Glock or Sig for example. They also cost 1/2 or 1/3 or less, obviously.
The SU16 is their first rifle that is actually quite decent for the price and purpose is created for.
and since it has a piston with pretty much an AR breach and bolt with a small cam it runs all
ammo including garbage ammo and light loads some ARs have issues with.
It is great for what it is.
I find the SU-16 CA model to be very nice, better than the A and B also because the barrel is a tad beefed up
but still very light. The thing is that model has threads so a sleeve has to be pinned to be used in Newyorkistan.
They all have a horrible trigger pull for target but that is not what the gun is intended for so it is ok. Not better or
worse than a factory saiga.
Another nice thing about this rilfe is that since it comes with a 1-7 twist will be able to stabilize the heaviest
loads from 75 to 88grains (lead or tungsten core.)
