All I see in the video is a bunch of reason why we need to purge the earth of men. /s
But yeah, we need to keep these stats in mind. Men live years less than women, are more prone to be victims of violence, workplace fatalities, but it's PC to pretend they run everything and the world is their oyster.
Across the street from me is a yoga mom. They are not rich but do okay. Her husband works, she goes to the gym every morning (not too early, mind you), then off to Target. That's her life because her kids are in school. Does some volunteering at the school. Does she have it so bad? I know three families that fit this bill closely. In the other two cases the man--who makes more money than women (misogyny!) makes so much their wives stay at home, look amazing for their age (no stress + regular working out is good for the complexion), and generally live a life of luxury. In all these three relationships can we really say the women are getting the short end of the stick?
At work, there's a lot of talk about "diversity," which centers around, exclusively, women and minorities. Especially the former.
Now, I have zero issue with people discussing strong representations of women. That's more than fine, and anything positive is definitely encouraged. The issue I have is when the conversation leaves out positive representations of men. Without seeing the good in the other side, conversations around diversity go from being a positive exercise in empowerment, to being equally a witch hunt against certain genders or races that don't align with the narrative that is being presented.
A while back, there was a video that someone had brought up at work. Normally, whenever a discussion video is brought up, people bring up some civil chatter about the topic, and talk about their personal experiences to allow other people to relate to those struggles. The below video had zero comments from anyone who wasn't male. In fact, it had zero comments from anyone female or from the LBGTQ community (afaik). It brings up those same horrifying points of men being 80% of suicide victims, and yet apparently that's not enough of a concern for diversity groups to care. Disgusting.
