As a former resident of Texas, i can tell it's NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!If Texas goes blue it will break the back of free America. It’s very symbolic. The repubs down there better step up.
Even with all the new residents (ahem......voters) crossing the border? As a former resident of Texas, i can tell it's NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
When i was working down there in the oilfield i did pretty good and it wasn't long before my company made me a trainer. One day i got a new trainee, i think his name was Hector. He had just recently became an American(legally). He did everything right, paperwork, lawyers, and of course it wasn't cheap. But he did it right. When i asked him how he felt about people sneaking across the border he told me most legals hated them because they were just trying to cheat a generous system. As big as that state is there aren't many jobs for illegals. I believe Texas is one of a few states that makes it a felony to hire an illegal. Yes, that means the employer is looking at time, not the illegal. Don't get me wrong though, not a day went by when you didn't hear a co-worker or some people conversing at a well in Spanish. It seemed half the frac crews were of Mexican decent. I did notice in 2015 right before i moved out of Texas that Trump was "SUPER" popular with nearly everyone down there including the Mexican/American workers.Even with all the new residents (ahem......voters) crossing the border?

I have nothing against LEGAL immigration at all. It's a great thing. Countries cannot have open and unenforced borders. Problems are created that can't be controlled. I believe many legal immigrants are upset with this situation as they put in the hard work, time, money, effort, etc. just to watch others sachet over the border. My grandparents came here legally, busted their ass, and created a better life for themselves, their children, and ultimately.....me.When i was working down there in the oilfield i did pretty good and it wasn't long before my company made me a trainer.
