While its true that people could use the revenge angle with such a law,they already have this ability.A friend of mine got in an argument with his wife.She stormed out of the house,he thought to go "cool off".A while later SCPD shows up at his door and takes his rifles,hunting bows,arrows and ammunition.Its been a couple years and he still hasnt gotten them back,even tho his wife has backed off charges.I'm not saying I support this new bill at all,just pointing out that this danger already exists.The bill is actually redundant,since if a person is "insane" a family member can have them involuntarily commited if they think he is a danger.No need for new laws, just enforce/use what we already have.
