This is asinine. D's outnumber and outspend R's by one of the widest margins in the country in New York. How is "Zeldon" going to get 80% of "our side" to show up and less than 80% of D's decide to just sit by and let that happen? Bearing in mind how worked up the Democrat base is about fewer babies being murdered in other states. You think 80% of our side will show up to vote for him and you can't even spell his name right?
I do give Zeldin some credit for coming out in favor of life after Dobbs and making it personal with the story of his two baby girls born in the second trimester, though of course he doesn't actually put out any actual strong pro-life policy objectives for New York State. Which is all sort of moot given that he is going to lose.

But yeah, it reads like people are fed up with crime and that part of the progressive ideology.
I still think NY is stuck with Hochul until she is forced to resign for the good of the party just like Cuomo was.
Gun owners and liberty minded people got to get out and vote though.

Last I heard nys republicans were outnumbered approximately 3:1 by democrats. I could be wrong but even if we all get out and vote that means hochul will get 66% of nys and we will lose with Zeldin getting 33% of NYS. I’ll bet Zeldin ends up around 35-40% and hochul wins with 60-65% of the vote for NYS.

NYC has about 9 million democrats in one area. Sure not all of them vote, but nearly 45% of NYS population lives in NYC’s 5 Burroughs and we know how nearly all of them will vote. This right here is enough to win the election.

I don't think Zeldin has a honest shot here. The current stand-in as governor will get NYC, Albany, Buffalo, Rockchester, and a lot of liberal counties as these areas don't see 2A as a voting issue. These voters will all be receiving checks before the election. When all else fails votes will be found.

That's a drop from about 10 years ago if accurate. It was 4:1 then.
State elections are a shining example of the pure democracy election process and the flaw that brought on the Electoral College system for President. That system should be advocated for state elections as it is a weighted system and would give counties a larger say in policy.
Voter turnout in NYC has been very low with the last 4 mayoral elections below 25%. Being a mid-term election year where historically turnout is low I would expect the same or in fact lower. That's where the steal will take place. Expect record votes in NYC and other urban centers in NY.

What we need is a normal mainstream third party that doesn’t want to radically change America or do something stupid. We were at a point where we just need to steer the ship and make a few minor corrections, but damn Joe Biden has changed that a lot.
