Imperati, that served under Butch Anderson for decades, was the undersheriff and wants to take over / run. Butch was grooming him to take over anyway, and he shares conservative values of the community. Hochul seems to think she knows better, and wants to appoint the daughter of a Wappinger...

When I was in the Army, we used to say a Commander can only be good at his job if his Soldiers allow him to be.

You are correct with the people as well.

Even in football, I hear all of the time that this Quarterback is really good, he is only good because his line allows him to be, same idea.
