The prevailing in town speed limit in VA when I lived there was 25. It’s not good. Nobody and nothing goes that slowly including bicycles and accidents are higher because of it.

Why not concentrate on immediate incarceration for crimes committed without a legal carry permit or use of any weapon? Or increase without negotiation charges for illegal carry ? I don't think there is enough jail space for that category though.

Just more revenue for towns. IF they really cared about safety then get tough with cell phone usage. I would say around 20 percent of cars are using cell phones while driving... Perhaps a bit less. Have been on the thruway where I am going 70 and folks pass me like I am standing still while on a cell phone or computer .. Yes computer .. 10 ft behind the car ahead of them .
