Holster for Ruger SR22?

Any good recommendations? I doubt I would carry it other than while out stomping around the woods (with Chewbacca, our 124lb Malamute,) but it would be nice to holster it whilst hiking around in the evening. The coyotes are getting thick and braver. Left handed holster, preferably.

Do you have a preference between leather or kydex ? OWB or IWB ?

I'm a mostly leather guy, and primarily an OWB carrier, so my suggestions would likely be from leather holster makers I like, and models I know, that I found carried support for that model. Many other members of course have no love for leather and swear only by kydex, and/or know IWB holsters primarily.

So, that info would be helpful for folks trying to help you..

Good points. I like kydex, IWB. For this gun an OWB holster might be better suited for walking/hiking/bushwhacking over rough ground, fallen trees, etc. vs having an IWB holster.

There is a guy in Utah that makes a very nice holster for the SR22. I am not sure why but he kind of specializes in the SR22. I think it all started when he made one for himself. It might be "Bear River Holsters" or something like that. I owned one when I had a SR 22. I can say from first hand experience that it was very nice. If I recall he had a very large photo gallery of SR 22 holsters.
