Not really. Cerekote is far better. We did one for a customer that uses his rifle for 3 gun. It is showing signs of failing.
Dont get me wrong. All in all it is good, just not nearly as tough as cerekote.
For a light use firearm/hunting rifle that are gently handled it would be fine.
It seems that the factory rifles with prints are a bit tougher as well.

Of this I have no doubt. This build is a range toy for the wife. It'll get around 5 coats of clear lacquer. So, for traveling to the range in a bag, it'll probably hold for awhile. I certainly wouldn't try to compare it to a serious coating treatment.

Once the 9mm was done, the wife decided that her MSR would look better with cheetah fur print. So, here it is:
