ok so I am back to carrying a Glock again, waiting on my bonus from work and my taxes (if it happens like last year i should get both the same day.......) now i do need to take care of some adult stuff first but i am giving my self a few bucks to fix what is wrong with a stock glock for my EDC.....
1) have to waste $100+tax to send my stupid chopped G19 frame back to glock and have them send me a brand new frame (which in all actuality is pretty sweet customer service, though i had hoped to get to keep my G26L frame but oh well)
2) send slide off to get cut for an RMR (already have the RMR and will be throwing on some Ameriglow black fron/rear suppressor height sights) already going to go with Jagerwerks have always been a fan of their work, they seem to have fast turn around time, good reviews, and unlike a few places that charge to strip the slide before cutting they dont, oh and one selling point over the close second company, Jagerwerks laser aligns both the iron sights and red dot after installing for no extra cost (the other place charges $60 to test fire and adds 1-2 week lead time, i can do my actual groupings on my own with something laser sighted to get it started)
3) may may add on a VTAC/SAI mag well..... want a carry magwel there were a few in the running.. the VTAC won out in my mind because it has bevels to strip a mag if it is stuck which others dont give that option. (they also have a matching base pad, they are also the only one to state that it WILL work with 10 round mags but not with both the magwell and base pad just one or the other.... that can be fixed with a 10-15 mag, and my spare mag is a G17 mag so the base pad isnt an issue).
4) miscellaneous things that i might get here or there but not as important as 1-2 and then 3rd, tango down vickers tactiacl slide stop and mag release but i can honestly wait on those, they are a nice but meh upgrade
now the real issue im seeing to have is some frame work i want done.
mainly stippling, double undercuts, and accelerator cuts. problem is i hate waiting on anything, i know that good work takes time and cost more. but i do want something that both is functional and good looking. but dont need to spend $500 and wait 7 months... first started looking at NAF solutions and they offered a good price and turn around but i think thats going up, B5 gunworks or something like that seems priced right but i cant find their turn around times,
so if you have made it this far into my rant (i have left a bunch of work i plan on doing to the G19 out because it wont be happening anytime soon) anyone have any good frame work done on their glock with both a reasonable time price and quality?
