Someone gave me two boxes of Hornady 135gr FTX. I believe it's used for 30-30 lever cartridges, but can I load it using 135gr jacketed bullet data? In worst case, I believe I can also use it for 300 Blackout.

If they're 0.308" diameter, you should be good.
Just worried about flight stability and ballistics if there isn't true loading data for it.

Probably less than ideal for .308 due to bullet weight, but might work ok.
Might as well load a couple and see what they do.

So it looks like it could work fine in a .308, but probably best with lighter loads. The Hornady Reloading app lists its effective muzzle-velocity window as being between 1800-2500 fps. Not to say that you can't push it fast against paper, but in the .308's normal velocity range, it probably wouldn't do great as a hunting load.
The manual lists loads for .300 Blackout pushing that bullet to around 2050 fps.
Guess it depends on what you want to do with it. Hornady sells all their load data for a given cartridge ala carte for $1 through their app so it might be worth buying the data. Doesn't look like their manual lists anything for a 135 gr bullet in a .308 Win.

I'll definitely look into that app.
I forgot what edition of the Hornady reloading manual i have, but it does list 135gr jacketed loads for 308.
