Why?? Again hear me out.. state cases may take a bit longer to go through the courts and be resolved. And then it may only end at a state level or maybe a circuit level, best case scotus so whole country

But the last part hinges on for example if NY looses the FPC lawsuit at the district level and appeal to the 2nd circuit and lose again. They may cut their lawses and not appeal to SCOTUS and help other states laws stand (for now)

Now let's look at it nationally, the feds will go all the way because well they kinda have to (this is not actual lesson on how the court system works but just me talking). And this would be beneficial to ALL OF US

All these reasons and the not so obvious one, This does nothing. We will need to wait on specific wording but that article alludes to any semi auto magically equaling AW status. All of that is fine with me.
Anything out there would still out there while its hashed out in court. There is supposedly 40m+ AR's out there, let alone other MSRs. The militia is well armed at this point. More is always better, but its not like we are starving.

Why should they care ?
There is no consequence for them doing it.

They can just keep passing blatantly unconstitutional law after unconstitutional law and bleeding our resources dry to fight them.
