The mental health system in this country, specifically in regards to gun ownership, is a disaster.
Nobody will DARE have an honest conversation with their doctor is they know the docs will, by law, snitch on them.
We got a real genius here:

Agree. Which rights, exactly, are they being denied of without process? And don't say "life", because it is ILLEGAL to rob people of their life without due cause. So please, explain.

To have one determine you are crazy and take away your gun rights without due process is what he means I think
I mean today it is based on the prescriptions you take tomorrow, I can see Cuomo and his ilk throw in your eyeglass prescription as a reason to deny you a gun.
All this crap about taking away Second Amendment Rights is a new thing. Prior to the 1968 GCA Felons got their guns returned to them when they served their time.
That was then now it has progressed to if you take this type of drug you are the next Adam lanza. And we let them do it to us.

This shit absolutely irked me last year when I heard about it.
It amazes me how these anti-gunners try to attack the Second Amendment rights of a person. They just don't stop trying to come up with a fucked up ways to screw us.
But yet I'm not allowed to say I am totally against abortion. I'm not allowed to say build a wall I don't want Mexicans in my country. I'm not allowed to say I don't want radical Muslim extremists in my country. I'm not allowed to say I am against the LBGTXYZ.
Where are my rights?

Been to a SCOPE meeting lately? Do you belong to a Club? Gone to a shooting match recently.
Guess what you will see, a majority of old guys. Be it SCOPE - a Club the age gap is widening. As the old guys FUDDs or not die off the hopes of the anti's are that so will the incessant desire for Second Amendment Rights.

High school kids have been hearing for years that homosexualaity is as normal and acceptable as having parents.
These same kids have had schools locked down if a poptart is used as toy gun. You think they are going to give a crap about their Second Amendment Rights in the next 10 years.
Kids that were in kindergarten when Obama was sworn in will be voting in the next election. The old farts will be fewer in the next election. Don't think for a minute that these progressive political types don't think about this.
This also underscores the importance of getting youths or youts involved in shooting sports and hunting as well as teaching them US History.
