Little update: I been trying to talk to this lawyer. He told me before hiring him to try to call some people but it didn’t work. Now I’m just waiting on him. Also my NICS got delayed again it’s been 60 days going to 90 now.

Also the gun store keep saying it might be because I have a common last name that I keep getting delayed and I didn’t believe it but look what I found on the FBI top ten most wanted. This guy has the same second name as me. Really surprising to me honestly.

I just filled my VAF application, gotta make an appointment to get fingerprinted now. Will do that tomorrow.

Then they should be able to distinguish between you and the felon pretty easily. I have a unique name and I put my SS# down so I get a proceed in mere minutes.

A perpetual delay is the worst outcome you can get on a NICS check because you cannot challenge or appeal them, as per your little card there. They literally are telling you that as long as you’re in “delayed” status, you are fucked infinitely. A flat out “denied”is easier and faster to resolve as long as your record is clear of any disqualifying convictions.

Hello I was charge with menacing 2nd degree and criminal possession 4th degree. I was not found guilty. I tried getting my shotgun back from the police department and I showed them a certificate of disposition. They said it doesn’t prove nothing. They told me I needed a letter from the court. The court told me I needed to call the DA department and the DA told me I needed to talk to my lawyer. My lawyer told me that they would make me run in circles because they don’t just won’t want to give it back to me, my lawyer said they do that to everybody. My lawyer told me I could just go get a new one, which I tried but my background is now delayed. It’s been a little over a week. Any tips on how I can get my first (2nd) shotgun back? I’m from Haverstraw Rockland County New York.

Literally just now I was on hold for 40 mins to try and make my fingerprints appointment, when a lady finally picks up. I get this email so I just hung up on her… before I hung up she asked me what are the fingerprints for. I told her to get a UPIN number but she didn’t know what it was then I hung up.
