How long does it take for new threads to show up under new post?

I post from iPhone. Refresh and it isn't there.
If I go to my profile, I can track it down.

It doesn't show as new to him. Everyone else sees it as new, but he has already 'read' it so it isn't on his new list.

That makes perfect sense actually. The last post you made was the thread itself. So to you, it shouldn't be under new posts because you already read it.

To me, it'll be under my new posts because I didn't read it. If I read it but don't post to it, it disappears from my new posts when I reload my page.

After another person responds to it, it'll reappear in both of our new posts because there is something in the thread we both haven't read.

After we both read it and reload, it disappears again until someone else posts in it.
