In short, Emperor Corruptions economic *schemes*, there sure as hell aren't an economic strategy, have wasted over $2 BILLION tax dollars. And that's just the thruway corridor, he hasn't even addressed the North Country or the Catskills.
I can't wait for him to run for POTUS. I hope he tries to compare his economic genius to Pres. Trump's economic policies.

I just sent that link to a friend of mine who drinks the liberal koolaide. He has been a friend for over 20 years and in the past few years he has slipped further and further into the hole that is the democratic party and it's views. He actually tried to defend it and blame it on two things:
1) people in upstate and western NY don't want to open new businesses
2) the snow --> he actually said it

Then said that the shitturd dictator we had is doing a great job.

WTF. How can any of that be a good job.

I have seen it with my own eyes as I travel around. NYS especially looks like the state tune forgot.

@prambo he lives down in Ulster County. I used to love there as well until I got fed up with all the bullshit that that county is turning into. My family's ancestrial home was there but it was sold when my Grandmother died.

I was thinking the same exact thing you were when he was defending that shit. I even told him that he should come up here and see all the people with thier small businesses and how the North Country pretty much is left to feed for ourselves.

So true!!

Just here in The 'Hood , there are numerous small businesses that have taken off since we moved here in mid-2011 (Mrs. prambo was born here). There are still problems, many relating to the fact that it's essentially a tourist driven economy. But with winter activities like skiing and snowmobiling, there is money to be made.

The woman who owns the flower shop I PT at is in her 14th year, and she's expanding, and going up-market. She's tough as nails and not a whiny feminist - she's also a laugh riot and lets her feminine side out, but it's the good side. Built it with her own 2 hands.

We also have a very successful micro brewery, new restaurants, stores and crafts. Add in the seasonal "rich muthafuckas" and tourists and there is much life in The North Country.

ETA: I will have to say, that The Princess has focused a fair amount of $$$ here in grants. That being said, it's tax-payer's money coming back into the North Country rather than going to the NYC sinkhole. It also helps to have local Assembly and Senators fighting to get the $$$$ back.

When the news came out that the largest hydroponic greenhouse in the country was going to hit our area and go from breaking ground to in operation something like nine months later my bullshit meter blew apart. I knew it was a total, shameless load of shit. I know nothing about hydroponic but I can smell bullshit from a mile away and this stank to high heaven. It received accolades from Cuomo and also Cheryl Dinolfo, Monroe County Executive.

So what happened? Nothing. Their website was pure boilerplate from the getgo: I think the website is malware now I won't even mention it (google "clear water organic farms").

I emailed Cheryl's office last year and got no response. I also contacted several journalists to follow up on this and none did.

This stuff pisses me off. The government parades these idiotic plans around, they don't happen, and nobody holds them accountable. The thing about clearwater is it followed the same plan as the optics nonsense they were peddling: people way out of their depth promising the moon and getting the idiots in NY gov to jump in like pigs in shit, which they do, without any due diligence.

Intergrow, has a huge greenhouse on RT-98 in Albion and they just built another huge greenhouse out on Rt-104 in Ontario, NY The one in Ontario is starting out with 25 acres, it suppose to expand to 55 acres in the future.

Honestly, I don't think the property at the Eastman Park was big enough, but thats JMHO?

The government should not be creating business. The gov should be getting out of the way of business and creating a climate that creates and supports business.
