The problem being anything you posess can be legally taken from you. Overdrive your horse and dont pay your property tax and you will have neither.Buy a horse and own your house. Then tell them to fuck off.

I ran into the ownership deception two weeks ago when I remortgaged my home in Canada. The scam works like this with Cars and With Homes. The Insurance company that I used to insure my home demanded that I change my Oil tank in my home to a new outside storage tank costing nearly $5,000 to relocate and fill. I refused the demand because I basically live in a forest and have a woodstove as well as an Oil Furnace. The Insurance company dropped my account. Now the Mortgage holder demanded that I have insurance. I needed to buy Electric baseboard heaters as my primary source of heat to get insurance (Which doubled because I was cancelled so called a risk). The same risks apply to gas vehicles. If the Insurance company refuses to insure your car after its ten years old (Because all that flammable fuel could cause a fire) they will cancel your insurance and you CANNOT operate a vehicle on public roads with out Insurance. There you go forced into the cold and forced out of your car by Insurance mandates, not Laws, just some Policy made by some bureaucrats.

Fairbanks Alaska was the testing ground for the new low emissions rules. They banned wood stoves for awhile. Then got enough push back they reduced it to mandating stoves with emissions controls and went around monitoring smoke. They've spent a fortune trying to make criminals out of people trying to get by. This mainly affects the poorer people and so they don't have money to fight this stuff in court. But the city carries on as it gets new grants to keep making criminals out of people who can't afford $5.00/ gal heating fuel. This is the new standard. Make fuel too expensive, then make it worse by making using other kinds of fuel a crime.
The puzzling part is how the government can wonder why people are dropping out of the workforce and turning their backs on society, the state controlled society that is deliberately making criminals out of regular working people. It's not hard to figure it out, but as usual, government won't ever admit to it's crimes.

Nope, Government doesn't have that authority! The problem being anything you posess can be legally taken from you. Overdrive your horse and dont pay your property tax and you will have neither.
That makes two of us. We been farming in this county since 1790.For a long time now I've believed that they won't come and take your firearms, property, etc. at gun point. Rather they'll just regulate and bureaucratize it out of existence. I think insurance rules are going to play a major part in this. Try doing damn near anything today without insurance. Almost impossible. That's one of the gun control plans I fear the most (mandated insurance). You know there will be damn few companies offering it and those that do will charge exorbitant premiums. I have a lot of guns (probably less than some on this site but more than the average bear) and I know I won't be able to afford the premiums. They'll do the same with car and homeowner's insurance.
I can take a lot but if they come for my family's property, the one we've stewarded for 125 years now, that's when shit gets real for me. I won't care about much else if I don't have that. As they say, man with nothing to lose is a man to be feared.
They may not have the authority, or the right, but they do have the power, and that's all it will take.Nope, Government doesn't have that authority!
And "We the People" have more power. It's up to us. That's how it works. They may not have the authority, or the right, but they do have the power, and that's all it will take.
As much as I want kids and a family, no way would I bring them up in this country. If it actually came down to them doing this, I can see no reason at all why I wouldn’t choose to go down fighting and take as many of them with me as I could. I’m old, my kids are grown, not a fan of what society is becoming.
