How to check AKM headspace with fixed compmag installed?

I cannot slide bolt carrier back in all the way with Field guage under the bolt's extractor cause something at the top of the compmag is blocking it. Tried but cannot get gauge under the extractor after inserting bolt and carrier in. Anybody run into this problem? VSKA AKM.

OK. Barring that; do you get an accurate measurement by just inserting field gauge direcxtly into the chamber without setting under the bolt's extractor?

Usually it is recommended to remove internal ejectors and extractors to get headspace measurements.

Thank you. Will just continue to just use the bolt not attached to carrier and monitor to insure bolt not rotating all the way and touching right rail.
