Hunt and backwoods camping

Anyone else backwoods camp and hunt for multiple days? My nephew and I, or I go by myself, canoe in and hunt during the ML season. Will also go if we get a stretch where temps don't dip below 25° at night during rifle season.
Anyone have tried and true methods of getting moisture out of boots overnight? Playing around with heated rocks in wool socks overnight like backpackers do, just curious to what others have found that works.

At certain temps you wont be able to keep boots and cloths completely dry and comfortable.
Pack boots are nice because you can remove the packs to dry. I use LaCrosse Burly Outdoorsman which dont get wet even when filled with water, just dump and put back on.
As far as socks.....bring plenty of WOOL socks....wool stays warm when wet.
Keep a pair of wool socks in the bottom of your sleeping bag just for sleeping.
Use fire to dry and hand warmers to stay warm.....hands and feet.
Get a good zero bag, preferably a mummy bag, they keep you warmer.
Wool is your friend in wet weather.
And be sure to not let yourself sweat too much. If you start sweating, take a break.
If your wool socks get soaked, rub them in the snow. This sounds dumb but it will dry them quick.
Its the same idea as rubbing beavers in snow after pulling from water. The snow freezes the water, then wipes off.

I’ve never tried the hot rock trick seems like a good idea. Have tried hand warmers without great success. What I try to do is have dry socks available and another pair of footwear for camp time. Finally settled on a pair of insulated soft soled booties sorta like mukluks put insulated insoles in them to help. Don’t get to close to the fire if they are made of synthetic material. Have camped out in -32F weather still have all my toes.
