Man arrested after shooting into a house while attempting to hunt for deer

I agree with the arrest, after all you are responsible for where the round goes, and I am glad that nobody got hurt. But, I wonder if the "significant damage in multiple rooms" is a stretch?

Gotta know your target and whats beyond it. Thankfully no one was hurt. Penalty should be the cost of repairs to the home and a 40 hours of hunter safety/ firearm safety, that he has to pay for.

Taught my Son and Son in law the same way I hunt. The gun doesn't go up until you know what your shooting at and know where you are. A deer or anything is not as important as a life. Missed a lot of deer but never shot anyone or a house/car/bus.

Every "season" there is one or more of these incidents! Also heard (again) a dog was killed because the hunter couldn't get a deer! Plain old stupid, no excuse!

There used to be a lot of ferral dogs around here 25 years ago, would scare the sh*t out of you because they had no fear of humans. It got to the point where guys would shoot any dog they saw loose in the woods. If it had a collar or was a bird dog maybe not. You have not seen a scary dog until you've seen a ferral Irish Wolfhound checking out your neighbors livestock
