When I was 16 years old I got yelled at by a DEC officer for walking on the tracks while deer hunting.
The guy was turning red and was very angry. Crime of the damn century.
Of course he was right to be mad.....I would have shot the crap out of a deer if I saw it.
I was kinda ignorant.
Now all the tracks are heavily posted as private property.

I use to live near farm, one year the harvester missed the wagon and left what looked like a good size pile in the middle of the field. Was 500yds away. After a few days I threw a couple garbage cans in my truck and headed to the pile. Found out the distance was deceiving, I set the cans aside and filled the bed lol.

G-dammit I still haven't had time to call the pheasant guys. I have a deposit sitting on a guided hunt we didn't get to do because of Covid back in March.
