WOW! The current increase in ammo is an example of supply and demand on a commodity.
I came home and as I add the 4 boxes to my existing stash I realized that at this rate I will be an ammo millionaire before too long.

How do you figure?

People went bananas buying guns and ammo on Covid fears starting in March. A whole lot of those people were new gun owners according to NSSF data (where the hell they get that data is beyond me).

Only accelerated with the "civil unrest".

The gunshop my father in law part times in as a "gtf out of the house" job in semi-rural upper Michigan currently has all of- 1 pistol and 2 shotguns in inventory. Total.

I can't wait until this all blows over and Maverick 88s are $100 bucks barely used.

A gun shop owner told me yesterday the gun manufacturers can't get ammo to test fire their products and believes the unavailability has more to do with the country on a virtual shut down and people not working to make the product than panic buying. That make a little more sense to me.
