I don't get why .300BLK gets all this hate, it was made for a very specific purpose, for a specific weapon. no different than the FNH 5.7x28m, 6x35mm KAC, or HK 4.6x30mm.
yet people complain that it doesn't do things that it was never intended for.
the honey badger/.300BLK were intended to replace the mp5 and 9x19, reducing weight, and giving the users the ability to go from quiet subsonic ammo for close quarters to supersonic ammo that would have a much greater effect than 9x19. also, it was meant to do all this using the same mags as the standard cartridge/rifles used by the military, Does it not do that?
it was never intended to be used at extended range or to be a precision rifle.
Everyone seems to be hung up on shit like "it's not as quiet as .22lr subsonic when suppressed", "it doesn't make sub MOA groups at 600 yards", "it's not as powerful as full size rifle cartridges", "it's pointless to have a 16" 1:8 or 1:10 twist barrel .300 BLK". all i can think to myself when i read all of that is, "no shit".
is there any other weapon around that is less than 5 lbs, 20" in length, that can shoot both subsonic and supersonic rifle ammo reliably?
