What I got from this is Joe Biden’s inflation is making it so people can’t afford food. They are giving them 1-200 for functions guns worth way more so again the government is telling people to make bad financial decisions. Clearly the guy that has anxiety from having a gun in his home is t out shooting folks on the street. Good job guys.

The way I see it, the turned in guns are being paid for with my/our tax $$. Therefore honest tax paying law abiding citizens, We The People types, who want a gun should have the opportunity to take possession of the turn in's. WTF, we paid for them.
"They" say the confiscated guns are destroyed, scrapped, melted down. I'm sure the junkers are. But I'd bet that some of the better or more desirable guns end up in the hands of LEOs, or connected whomevers. Regardless, I doubt many if any lives are saved by the buy backs. It's just another government scam.

Several years ago I offered ( for a fee, of course ) to allow a bunch of my VERY SCARY looking guns to be photographed for a local "buy-back" event. I did this because I'm friends with a local politician (who shall go un-named) that was making a point that these "buy-back" events were just for show. The politician in charge of the event bought it hook, line and sinker until he found out he was being set up by my friend. Point is, even the people that are orchestrating these events KNOW they're a bunch of horseshit and are just photo-ops and a story with their name in the local news.

Not in my district. The state police destroy them after they sit there for years and years. My brother was telling me they have a couple of pythons in there and he wanted one. Nope. He told me a lady brought in her dad’s WWII collection and didn’t want t to sell them to the cops so they get destroyed. A couple nice garands and a period correct Ithaca 1911 was in the mix. I told him I’d pay for the 1911 and he said no chance can’t do anything to get it for you. Sad.
