I've asked the same question here and gotten a lot of "you have no idea what you are asking for, a military coup will never happen on us soil, yadda, yadda...." people need to take the blinders off and realize that yes, bad things can and are happening in this country. Our military is supposed to protect us from enemies foreign and domestic. Well, if those enemies are domestic and not just bs media propaganda and lies, then the military should do something and not just stand by and allow it to happen because "military coups don't happen here" or "you really want martial law? You have no clue what you are asking for." Fuck that! If a military coup and martial law for a defined period of time is what it takes for the military to clean up the swamp and return the country to a constitutional republic, then yes, I want that. I have a feeling though, that our military is basically owned by special interests and not by the people.

Taking the oath doesn't mean shit anymore. It's just something politicians, judges, soldiers, police etc do to get the job. I'll preempt "i take my oath seriously" by pointing out that I'm speaking broadly of course. But that's the extreme minority.

The problem you have is, “identifying who the domestic enemies are.“ Are they the people you don’t like or are they the people AOC doesn’t like?

The current crop of government officials has been legally sworn in and properly certified by the Congress. Who do you want the military to take action against?

Politics is a messy game. This is why the Military stays out of things. If the current president was not certified the winner by congress and legally sworn in then assumed power, you would have a legitimate concern. As of now everyone in power has been legally determined to be the winner and has been rightfully sworn in. The military has no basis to take action.

The problem with a representative democracy is people vote for elected officials at all levels and if they don’t demand those representatives do their jobs properly, they get the government they deserve.

It's shouldn't be the job of the military to protect us domestically, just not to interfere and stop us from protecting ourselves.

Our forefathers did not want a large standing military and this country did not have one until the late 1800s.

when does the country become a banana republic, when 25% don’t trust the results, 50%, 75%? Remember in 2016 50% of the country thought the election was stolen by Trump. So who is appointed to make the decision? When do we cross the line and who decides the military needs to take action?

IMO Trump had his window (around December 2020) where he had the opportunity to bring the military in to keep order while some mechanism made SCOTUS take up the election fraud cases and not ignore them. Once president Trump let that window of time sneak past and biden begin his transition and get sworn in, it was over.

President Trump had a window of time to act and it past. IMO i don't fault him, he put too much faith and trust in the process.

The military is (very unfortunately) following the current lawful sworn in administration. We can argue all day if the process was lawful and legal or not, but begrudgingly that's past now it's not changing the current reality of the military following their current commander in chief.

Just my .02 cents.

Ok I'll bite. What specifically do you want the military to do? Invade the capital and physically remove biden and harris? Arrest all 535 members of congress? And then what? Who would run the country? Do you think the 5,000 members of the national guard would just stand by? Wargame this out and tell us what you think should happen.

Our problems are political in nature. The military is not like prince charming coming to the rescue.

It's a great question. I'm not sure, but I know we're either very close or across that line.

What do you think the difference is ?

Realistically Until the American government is seen and proves itself to be an enemy of the people, the country will continue to be the beacon of freedom for the world and we will see people trying to get in and not flee.

I keep crowing about civil action, and all I get are crickets or "you can't stop what's coming" over, and over, again. Politics has always been a struggle of sides, and we need to start participating.

We're at an interesting moment in NYS in which Cuomo is finally unpopular on both sides. That can be exploited to our advantage, if we only stop thinking in terms of conspiracy theories and taking the race / #metoo bait, and start focusing on what matters.

I think it should be pretty obvious who the bad actors are by now. I don't even think the liberals realize what the people they voted for are doing to the country. I would say that they are the ones who don't know what they are asking for. Perhaps the people selling this country out to foreign countries and actively promoting ideals and legislation to strip the people of the Constitutional rights and power over who gets elected. Maybe those people. At some point you have to make the distinction and that distinction is not protected by the first amendment. If we we aren't going to commit and define what an enemy of the state is then what are we all bitching about on here? Nope, I was wrong, Cuomo is a true American. He didn't commit any wrong doing and everything he does is to uphold the constitution, right? The same can be said about Biden and the rest of the dems in congress. They are completely in the right for wanting to pass legislation that violates and negates the bill of rights and our voting system. What was I thinking? There is nothing wrong with them making an unabashed power grab to subvert our republic and enslave us to their every whim. Yeah, I know, from my standpoint who is right and the ones that are wrong.

A group of us at work were talking last night and similar was brought up, a couple of lefties in the group were saying that the vast majority of the elected elite on the Right should be taken out due to their actions as of late. I asked for examples and they gave me some. I did not agree with their assertions or their examples, but for every one on our "side", there is one on their "side".

I hate the direction that we are headed. I despise the vast majority of the elites in elected offices, what exactly have they done to force military removal?

People spend too much time trying to sort out who are the good guys and who are the bad guys and how do you tell them apart.

I'll give you a hint, the side that wins are the good guys. 100% of the time. They are the ones who write the history.

I have feelings, and my personal thoughts. I can research laws, that is easy. But to understand all of them, to be able for me to come up with charges that would stick? No, I am not that smart. If I were, I would not be a cop. I would be doing much better things in life.

Our system of laws and our courts are so corrupt, one cannot make heads or tails of the laws or court decisions.
