It’s not a huge win but for some one like my wife not interested in CCW’ing and only wants her permit to have my guns if I die it’s a great option. As soon as the new application is released I will have her do it.
I heard Erie County, NY will no longer require a training for a premise permit

There is now and why would they want to push people to CCW? I think a premise permit will stay.

Unless something has changed in Oneida Co. the only type of pistol permit is “concealed carry “ . premise permits are not even offered here but l think it would be a good thing now in light of all whorchuls bs

In my case I’ll have a CCW with all my guns and my wife will have a premise with all my guns so I’ll be covered either way.
This makes a lot of sense. My wife isn't interested in carrying yet but she does want to be able to legally shoot my pistols in NY state for practice/fun and have access to them at home legally.

Same with me here. Also it’s nice because in a few years even if laws change I’ll legally be able to have guns just sitting around and not in a safe. I have a place or two I would like to do a magnet mount for a pistol or two.
