These are all my own thoughts and out loud rambling, but I thought that this was a good place to post.
I believe we are reliving a period similar to say 1937 US/imperial Japanese geopolitics with a different twist to it. The pre ww2 landscape was a very slow gradual buildup. Japan eventually decided on their own that war was inevitable and since it was unavoidable, they should strike first for a decisive blow. It didn't matter what America thought or how serious we took the threat because in the end the other side already made our decision for us.
I think we are going to war with china.
Call it thucydide trap, a 4th turning. Whatever. History repeats itself.

Look at it the from Chinas perspective. (I'm not going to cite all this, 1 that's a lot of work, 2 I'm on my phone, and 3 if you want you can look it up)
Here are a few tidbits in no order;
China believes they are the greatest race of people on earth and humanity. They believe their party is superior to all.
Their former secretary of defense gave an obscure speech stating they know war with the US is inevitable. And they are willing to use biological weapons to kill us to not destroy our land and infrastructure.
Many of China's generals lament not fighting in war.
China has a MASSIVE demographic problem of way too many military aged males with no brides in waiting or way to have a family.
Chinas economy is faltering badly.
China has militarized and claimed the south china sea
China is becoming very militant and belligerent in the south china sea regularly harassing us and threatening to sick aircraft carriers.
China at this very moment is invading a disputed border frontier in India. Yes china is invading inda right now.
China is running out of resources.
Chinas quality of life is suffering.
Internal political stress and turmoil.
The Hong Kong situation is back front and center again. China seems to be making a move right now as I type this. Hong Kong is probably doomed.
Taiwan is next.
There is major international and US backlash against china right now due to coronavirus and out supply chain being so dependent on china. There is immense pressure to bring our jobs back or at least to a more favorable 3rd world country. This would be devastating for china.
I think china is realizing all this on their own and like Japan 1940-1941 they are going to make a conclusion that a war with us and getting us out of their way and taking us over would be in their best interest or they will fade away. IMO china would rather die to save face since they are so proud of their culture and lineage it's in their heritage.
Why I posted here is this would essentially be WW3. Our homeland would be impacted either through any combination of legitimate biological warfare, electrical grid down scenarios, massive supply chain shortages, loss of travel or movement, outright kinetic or covert attacks. Etc.. we would be affected without a doubt.
You can disagree, it's just my opinion on where the world is heading in the next 0-10 years. I hope I'm wrong.
