I'll go one step further. I want more than the rights restored. I want prosecution for those who put policies in place that violated the bill of rights so flagrantly.

There needs to be accountability for those that blatantly pass unconstitutional laws. The problem is that only courts can decide what is or isnt constitutional. So, when legislators pass laws that are found unconstitutional then there needs to be some kind of penalty for the infringing of rights on the citizens, along with wasting tax dollars.


On top of that, we need term limits for all federal and state legislators.

Meanwhile the "gun lobby" endorsed all the Republicans who voted in favor of "red flag." The result of this idiocy is that none of the electeds are calling out Cuomo for the obvious failure of his SAFE Act, much less advocating for real 2A reforms. Most of them aren't even bothering to mention they've been endorsed in their campaign announcements. That's how little respect they have for those making the endorsements.

Right here is the reason no one in Albany takes 2A seriously.

We're all here because we're pro-gun (at least I think). The Republicans and Democrats are pro-gun control. That's why I refuse to vote for either. In my world, "settling for the lesser of two evils" means abandoning your core values for the fallacy of having a "choice."

America has two choices the way I see it:
1. Let things progress, end up with socialism and inevitably a total collapse.
2. Drain the swamp by voting in new leadership. Like 100% new. Local, state, federal. Everyone's fired.

As a young man, I was optimistic someday the people would stand up and take option 2. As I become more established in life, I realize #1 has already begun- and the people are begging for it.
SAFE act is not the end. It is the beginning of more infringements.

Agreed, sadly. Term limits for all elected offices are needed. Thats the single biggest thing that can help us.

The democrats are anti gun. The republicans pretend to be pro gun. They will go along with bans but at a much slower rate and I usually for things that do not affect everyone like bump stocks, foreign rifle import bans, NFA, etc while not introducing pro gun legislation.

So your choice is to vote Democrat for a fast degradation of gun rights, libertarian for a fast degradation of gun rights because it will put the democrats on top in winning elections since they’ll have more votes then the republican, or republican and slow the degradation of gun rights.

I choose republican because I’d rather preserve some gun rights that I currently have. Voting libertarian is a sure fast way to degrade your gun rights.

So what is the answer? Here is the answer. Vote in the primaries. Nobody ever does and the current do nothing, rhino republican always stay in. Vote out the current republicans with other republicans that are running against them who promise to really be pro 2A or libertarians that are running against them for the republican nomination.
