The first thing is you have to decide on what you want the suppressor for exactly? What is the purpose? What kind of host will it be used on? Will the can be used on multiple hosts or will strictly stay on one of them? There’s a good start to break down what you should look for.
Thise are probably the nicest Form 1 style DIY cans you can get right now. I’ve thought about it but they’re not as nice as a purpose built from the factory can. I know JK also recently released a Pro version as well. It’s a good route to go for a Form 1 though.
Since the JK’s are the nicest DIY’s right now, they are pretty expensive. When compared to an already made can from a reputable company, you’ll notice that a good can can come pretty close price wise.
There are other cans that are modular that allow you to add or remove baffles. Like the Q Erector 9 or the Dead Air Odessa-9, Dead Air Ghost-M...
Building your own suppressor requires a 5320.1 or Form 1 (Application to Make and Register a Firearm) is used for suppressors you build yourself. A 5320.4 or Form 4 (Application for Tax Paid Transfer and Registration of Firearm) is used when you buy an already created suppressor from a dealer.

Another thing to consider with AK cans is the gassing issue. More specifically 99% of AKs are over gassed. Adding more back pressure to an already over gassed rifle can batter the shit out of the gun. Can also cause malfunctions.
I don't want to totally jack this thread so I'll end my AK comments with this. You can also remedy the over gassing with a KNS adjustable piston. I just happen to have one coming in tomorrow. Pretty stoked about it!

More specifically barrel length? Are you wanting a suppressor strictly for the most db reduction? Do you plan on running and gunning with it? Need to move around tight spaces?
20 inch barrel. No, not running around foolish with this one. Other ones, I might run like an idiot, this particular one is more for longer, stationary shoot.
If you’re 100% certain you’re never going to want the suppressor to ever go on any other host and if the purpose is strictly for sound reduction, go for the longest suppressor you can than get in 5.56 caliber. That’ll give you to best sound reduction. That’s what you should do since you’re not worried about moving around with it. After actually getting the suppressor that you choose you’ll definitely want to get your barrel checked with a suppressor alignment rod before sending rounds down range through the suppressor, especially with it being a Bear Creek Arsenal barrel.
The main thing is Bear Creek Arsenal is not known for the greatest QC. So you should always check concentricity of the barrel regardless of brand but with a brand with lesser QC, you absolutely want to check. But I’m sure it will most likely be fine.
