I watched a Quiet Place and a Quiet Place 2 yesterday.

A bit of laziness after my procedure earlier this week has given me the opportunity to catch up on some movies and shows that I have been wanting to see.

I watched the Quiet Place, one and two. Two, I thought, was much better.

I enjoyed the movies from a Prepping stand point. If you have never watched them, I would suggest that you do.

What happened to the people in the movie was immediate, no real time to prepare fro the unknown.

This family seemed very prepared for bad to come their way, basement appeared stocked and ready for most SHFT events. They were able to learn and cope fairly well.

Some of both movies were shot in the Western NY area. A bit out there, but not horrible. There are creatures in the movie, but the idea of family, sacrifice and will to survive is strong.

I think you mean eastern NY. A lot of them were shot near New Paltz, NY afaik. I used to live roughly in the area years ago.

I have plans to ruck that bridge from the first movie / it's on one of the ruck routes I had planned. The plan was to ruck from the Hudson river inland to that bridge via the trails and back again. Should be on the agenda for @Celt . Good paved areas for much of it actually and stops along the way, so kind of ideal to go visit the bridge.

There was a decent part of the movie filmed right outside of Buffalo as well. A bunch of guys from my department were hired as set security.

I was going to do some security as well, thought it would have been pretty cool to watch a movie being made, that fell through for me.
