I would certainly want a reversible option. If I was still in NY, but I would consider something that just requires buying a new follower close enough to "reversible".

If you're really a purist, buy a new follower to mangle and keep the original in a box. Doesn't get much more reversible than that.

As far as getting it into the state to begin with, wonder if you just talked the sending FFL into gutting the mag and shipping it as a "single shot" without a spring or follower at all to make it compliant..

Then you can add your frankenfollower once you get it.

I look at the people selling 3D printed stuff and think "that's good, but if you're selling more than a couple a week, you want to 3D print molds and then cast the parts, way faster and cheaper.

Molds could require parts to be cleaned up. Depending on the printer you don't have to clean it up.

Sure, and a 3d printed mold might not last too long.

But, even if it only lasts 100 parts, that's way faster.

I just look at it as the difference between a 5 item per week hobby and a real business.

A printer that you push go on and come back a couple hours later to a finished part is nice.

But printing 2 dozen molds and making 100 parts a day with them even of you actually have to spend a few hours working on it can be a real business.

I’d CNC a whole mess of them on a sheet of aluminum, and laser engrave “Fuck You Kathy” on every one. 3D printing probably isn’t cost effective for much beyond one off/small batch or prototyping in this particular instance.
