Both parties are packed full of lick spittle scum who do nothing but undermine any vestiges left of our Constitutional Republic. Both parties are filled with traitors whose main goal is to enrich themselves at the trough of government largess, make and take the political payoffs that get them into office and reelected, outright hide or at least obfuscate their own malfeasance and make sure almost none of them are held accountable for their corruption and crimes, make sure their own political masters (the wealthy corporate and bankster finance donors that make up the oligarchy and monopolies that have sold this country to one-world government foreign powers) are taken care of; and most importantly, suppress the Rights of the People, water down the actual "Rule of Law" the constitution demands, pervert both Justice and good morals, divide and hinder the People from mounting any effective action to stop the bleed, and cause upheavals in a once decent (but not perfect) American culture and society so that they can gather up and concentrate more power and wealth into their own hands.
However, the true reason there is no accountability and our Republican order of moral and efficient government has been all but abolished and perverted is the fact that the People themselves have caved on nearly every important issue that once made this a nation where Life, Liberty, and Happiness were moral imperatives to be respected, upheld, and striven for; even if that meant sacrifice at all costs so the next generation would be passed the brightly burning Torch of Liberty.
The politicians are a reflection of an electorate that has utterly failed in their natural role as citizens, either through their own debasement, through misplaced trust in a corrective governmental and political system that no longer exists except on documents that are now ignored, apathy, lack of moral courage, head-in-the-sand "hear no evil, see no evil" willful blindness, political and moral naivete, and a near-total lack of awareness of the roots and history of the nation and how perverted it has become in comparison.
People are STILL talking about political solutions to the corruptions and degradations our nation have been subjected to! Fie!!!
Its an utter farce to think there are meaningful political solutions to combat what is happening to our nation. Outside of some states admirably holding the line for their own people and interests, a tipping point has been reached.
I've said since I started posting on the old NY Firearms forum that the corrupt government hacks are not going to save us from themselves, and that "politics as usual" was never going to restore our Republican order nor uphold our Constitutional Rights, mandates, prerogatives, duties, principles or moral imperatives.
The political parties have become nothing more than criminal cartels. The fact that they will obviously continue in their turpitude and debased criminality regardless of "election outcomes," or "political maneuvering," or political "horse trading" ought to be obvious by now.
These politicians DO NOT CARE ABOUT the Constitution, good government, or a moral and decent civilization at all.
Outside of the retribution that Almighty God has already begun for our wicked crimes as a nation, no one is ever going to be held accountable for the last several decades of crimes our own government has perpetrated upon us. Mark my words.

Genuinely surprised at today's outcome. I thought he would fail the first vote just so some reps could say they voted against him. But after this little bout of insincere political drama I figured the powers that be would get him the required votes on the second try. I still think he gets it, but there is an outside chance the republicans screw this up and elect the idiot Jeffries from the democrats.
