I strongly suspect that McCarthy is as corrupt as Paul Ryan turned out to be, - if not worse.

I fully stand with the 20 members against him. And if they do come to some sort of agreement with McCarthy, they had better get it in writing. Actually, they probably need to get something more. Maybe a signed and notarized resignation letter to be used if he reneges that would be legally binding to force him out? Or maybe a legally binding promissory note to pay millions to the Freedom Caucus?

He is absolutely untrustworthy, and a full blown member of the swamp. And he even appears to be stupid enough to have not locked up the first vote by coming to a deal with the 20 members BEFORE yesterday. He is not just an asshole, he is worthless. No, he is even worse than that.

Like a punch drunk boxer who can't hear the guy in his corner telling him to lay down for the count, McCarty has today lost his 4th and 5th round of the political equivalent of losing a boxing match to a 5 year old girl.

So he's now working hard for his constituents and the American People by... trying to cede to the Demrats however much power he needs to in order to get some of them to vote for him and make him the speaker in an end run around the 20 Republicans who won't vote for him...

The Republicans freaking WON the House and he's trying to let the Demscum dictate the terms of his surrender before they even bring a bill or motion to the freaking floor!

If there were any actual "Republicans" (read: representatives who gave a shit about the Constitution) left in the elephant party, they'd kick his pathetic ass out of the party immediately, revoke any and all all funding or support, and pressure that moron to retire immediately.

The fact that there are a bunch of Rs who WANT this pathetic loser as Speaker and are also already talking about giving ground to the Donkeys so McCarthy can cling to "his turn" ought to be speaking volumes about how pointless it is to support these charlatans any longer.

It should also speak volumes that the Republican Establishment is letting this farce go on, even if the Demscum end up running a brokered treaty to share power in the House under one of their own as Speaker. If the R Establishment has not tipped their hand enough by now to clearly indicate to their voter base that they are sell out traitors and don't deserve the support of the People, I don't know what else it would take.

They know that their bread is buttered by holding onto their seats in the House and the Senate, and that government service is the well spring from which their power and money flow. Consequences be damned for the rest of the country. In that way, they are evil-smart, taking everything they can get regardless of how that effects anyone else. A perfect reflection of their Demscum cohorts with whom they plot and cooperate to keep themselves in power and divvy up their share of the pie.

They are not even controlled opposition: they are right up to their necks in the scam along with the Demscum, and knee deep in the political blood letting that has debased this nation.

DC needs to be burned to the ground and sewn with salt.

Any decent representative would just step away at this point.

There are 200+ other representatives that could take the job. I am sure there are a few that would be acceptable to all the Republicans.

But this douchebag has already moved into the office and wants to burn the party to the ground before he hands the reins over to anyone else.

Nov almost went the way the uniparty wanted which was to be Dem control. All polling suggested a so called RED wave. They took care of that. lol Dem control was the planned outcome with all the election rigging. It didn't happen but they got a small majority which they figured could be controlled. What we are witnessing here is just how involved the parties are in the global agenda. Not sure how this will play out as I wouldn't accept anyone that has been in Washington the last 2 years as speaker. Committees need to be formed and assignments given out and to call on the carpet people that perpetrated the ridiculousness nonsense that has gone on the past two years.

All Jan 6 committee Democrat members need to answer for their ridiculous committee rules.

All Democrat committee member tax returns to be release and all deduction taken compared to Trumps deductions.

All witnesses call by Democrats to finally be cross examined

Complete investigation into the IRS, NSA, CIA FBI and DOJ including department heads including TRUMP time in office.

Merrick Garland needs to be under oath as well and answer for his political use of the dept he heads.

Much as I agree that both parties need to be burned to the ground, it has to happen in an organized way, not a "withdrawal from Afghanistan" sort of arrangement if there is any hope of saving this country.

If the republican party implodes first, the democrats may be able to hold too much power for too long for even a ritously reborn republican party to save us.

Not really. The 20 are saying "give us everything we want or no votes for you". That's not how compromises work, and compromises are how you make an acceptable deal when different parties want different things. McCarthy gave them some of the things they wanted, but they want everything with no compromises on their side. It doesn't work that way.
