I think she’s the scariest person in America right now. I can’t believe she was elected and has any relevance. I get the Bernie Sanders crowd I’d do, I just don’t agree. Omar is literally at the very best a terrorist sympathizer. I’m sure she goes farther than that. I can’t even believe what she wants to do. This is scary defend the police!! Sure there are some bad ones but what will we be left with? Remember when the cops lose their guns IMO so will we. It will be all out chaos.

Looks to be progressing relatively fast and they have already committed to getting rid of the police by defunding them through the budget. Wow! What could go wrong. Already one of the most violent cities. Why would social workers and paramedics be able to handle these situations? First I’d ask do these people want to handle it or will they even be able to?

No read the article. They essentially want paramedics and social workers to handle some police situations. They of course “do t have all the answers” but disbanding and defunding the police is the answer.
First I’d ask are these people ok with doing this? I know many times police escort the medics because they get shot at. They all need to band together and say we need each other. Without the police the medics and social workers can’t be effective. I know for a fact at least around here there are times the police will escort both the medics and social workers.
Sure the cops could be trained better to handle some situations better like mental health situations but what’s a social working going to do when a mentally ill person is charging them with a knife? They will leave for their safety and let an innocent civilian get stabbed. I then think you should be able to hold the city responsible for this.
