Forgot to close the tailgate on the truck this morning.... ~$700 worth of stuff fell out. Mostly clothes, a nice cooler, treestand harness, and some other random stuff. Luckily no guns were back there.

Some guy flagged me down and I was back where everything fell out within 6 or 7 minutes. Pretty much everything was gone. There was some pistol ammunition on the ground, so I know exactly where it fell out. I spent 20 minutes looking for other stuff, but it was gone. No businesses were open yet, so, hopefully, someone nice came across it and will turn it into the gas station or grocery store near there.

If anyone in the Canandaigua area hears about someone sporting some new to them hunting clothes, please let me know. I did some modifications to the clothes, so I can tell if they are mine.

Yeah, it's pretty shitty. Maybe they did the right thing and collected it up to drop off somewhere later once businesses open. There was no way I missed seeing it on the side of the road. A big white cooler stands out.

Oh well, at least nothing was new. No guns or cameras were lost. Christmas is coming up.

I did stop at a gas station, but nobody had it. I will call the local businesses tomorrow and see if maybe someone dropped everything off.

I wasn't even hunting for myself. I was going hunting to shoot a deer for my 93 year old grandmother. I shot a doe this morning. I'm not sure it was worth $700 though!

I did a dumb ass one years back LOL Set my gun at tailgate, putting stuff in small Toyota truck. Took a pee, then back out of driveway, Got to Turkey hunting spot and NO GUN IN BACK LOL. Went home to see wood stock with gravel punched in it LOL GRRRRR...

I lost a bow release while hiking to my tree stand and didn't realize it until I was up the tree! That cost no more than the new one and a frustrating morning! Sorry for your loss!
