I'm taking my first course towards being rifle instructor

I'm scheduled to take the beginner NRA Basic Rifle Course this Saturday in Wilkes Barre. The Cabin Range looks like a pretty cool place.

Step 2 is the next course in line and I should be set. Then I'll probably start on my Pistol Instructor.

Since I work with the Juniors in our club, the rifle is more important at this time.

Nice! You should also consider RSO. Ive got RSO Rifle and Shotgun for my involvement with shooting sports program with BSA. Was supposed to do Pistol last April but they had to cancel class because NRA didn't get them the course materials in time for class I plan to do that next. Good luck.

RSO is one I plan on as well. I play one for the Junior air rifle program and assist with some other competitions we do at the club. We are kind of short on RSO's!

Wow, never heard of that before. How many members do you have at your range? That's a pretty big commitment to ask from everyone, IMO. Who pays for it?

I've done Pistol. Much to my dismay, it has increased my popularity around the office at work. I spend so much time working with other people that I don't have many opportunities to shoot anymore.

Now that my nephew is working on Eagle, I've been thinking about geting back into working with scouts. I should do Rifle and Shotgun.

That's odd to me. We have a 24 hour unsupervised range. Of course that is also odd to people.
