So the answer is no, you do not understand hypotheticals. Thanks for your contribution to this conversation!
So what is the current law in NY, and how would he catch a felony here if it happened in NY.. hypothetically

You're right, this didn't happen in New York in September, so you've convinced me my original point was irrelevant and stupid. Nobody needs more than 10 rounds to stop a shooter, lengthy permit applications and gun-free zones make us safer. This happened the other day in Indiana so it shouldn't be brought up in the context of laws that have been passed in New York that haven't even taken effect yet, as our wise statesmen already considered all the ramifications during their late-night drafting session. So what is the current law in NY, and how would he catch a felony here if it happened in NY.. hypothetically

Am I doing this right?
If you read English, you would understand "now" in my post to be short for "as of the effective date of the idiotic gun laws that have now been passed," rather than getting into an autistic pissing match.

Impressive. Now watch as some of the MSM spin this as an outlier in terms of capability that (in their opinion) still doesn't justify Constitutional carry. They'll focus on the shots the shooter was able to get off in those 15 seconds. So it looks like it wasn't 2+ min before the shooter was neutralized..
In reality it was 15 seconds

Along with a firecracker with a 16 second lit fuse between your ass cheeks...you know, for the adrenaline factor.
Amateur. I would've put 10 in the head from 50 in 7 seconds flat.Let's see, 40 -50 yards, 15 seconds, 10 rounds. Will this appreciably alter the 3 yards, 3 seconds, 3 round average for defensive responses? lol
That first bite must have been a very big surpriseAmateur. I would've put 10 in the head from 50 in 7 seconds flat.
What’s the 1.25 hit factor?
You have to start while eating lunch in a food court setting. and there are 100 targets out there, only one of which is the one you're looking for.Everyone should try the Dicken drill this weekend.....
10 rounds cold into a B8 at 40 yards in 10 seconds
This does not negate our Right to keep and bear a gun for self defense. One of the people shot to death by a gunman at Greenwood Park Mall in Greenwood, Indiana, Sunday was carrying a handgun that he never had a chance to pull
You got to give it to the kid, he saved how many lives while risking his own. From 50 yards away he could have easily just ran out. This is the definition of "a hero"
@OnSight Firearms Training has been preaching 25 yard B8 drills for as long as I've known him. What's the longest distance in your home? how long is a supermarket aisle? IMHO anyone only practicing 3-10 yds is severely limiting their own capabilities to problem solve these more complex issues. Any good firearms instructor that's not a FUDD is teaching longer engagement distancesLet's see, 40 -50 yards, 15 seconds, 10 rounds. Will this appreciably alter the 3 yards, 3 seconds, 3 round average for defensive responses? lol
I went and tried it today.Everyone should try the Dicken drill this weekend.....

Said 9mm glock. Not sure which model, but odds are probably a 19.Out of curiosity do we know what handgun he used? Have not seen it anywhere in the news

Or a 26, 43x, 48, 17 or 34 or 45. I curious as to which. Since he is 22 and one can not legally purchase a pistol until 21 years of age that puts him with roughly 2 years of pistol shooting experience at best. Since many new shooters hit low with Glocks I’m curious as to which model and if he had taken any classes. To hit a target with roughly 80% accuracy at 40 yards is quite good for a newer pistol shooter.Said 9mm glock. Not sure which model, but odds are probably a 19.
