Instructors/Coaches - looking for recommendations for insurance

I know we have a few folks here who are instructors and/or coaches, and we also have a few training organizations here.

The "NRA Endorsed" product from Lockton Affinity states on the application form that it is not available in New York.

So what products are available for instructors in New York, and what are your recommendations? Thanks!

I just confirmed with them. They can not offer new policies in New York. Apparently there's an ongoing pissing contest between New York and Lockton as a result of the NRA Carry Guard program, and it's impacting the sale of all of Lockton's products in New York.

Huh, just tried to sign up and NY wasn't an even an option in the address section. I've really got to get out of this state. FUAC.

Are you referring to the “Free” $2500 gun insurance that accompanies all New NRA memberships? When I joined back in November, I would get an error when trying to sign up for the insurance. I called them and they told me that They cannot offer the insurance to NY residents.

I believe he is referring to liability insurance for NRA instructors.

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. It sounds like my issue and I guess I should have reread the first post again.

@Bob you are right, I just called Lockton and they will not be renewing my policy! Glad I found out now, gives me time to find some new company my policy is up in Sept.

The guy I talked to did give me a name of a Company that might do instructor ins Chiarllo 1 (800) 526- 2199 I do have a Ins. Broker at my Club I want to talk to also!

Lockton Affinity will NOT be renewing any NY policies in 2019 according to a conversation I had with them recently. FUAC!
