We are #1 when it comes to this statistic on the "not a complete shithole country" list.
I only point that out because I think this list makes the anti's case stronger, not weaker.

actually, the USA is FAR SAFER than any other country.
why do I say that? simple
we are ranked (about) #10, but NO OTHER country has nearly as many firearms as the USA.
in the 2014/2015 hunting season, the USA issued about 14 MILLION big game licenses (all states combined). there are an estimated* 310 MILLION firearms in America. Our population has the single largest standing army on the planet, even if you combine ALL OTHER ARMIES including China.
Therefore, we can conclude, given the number of firearms available, that America is quite literally the safest place to live.
* I say estimated because the general consensus is 310 million, I personally believe that number is woefully inadequate. Believe there are FAR more guns in America than the "experts" think, but that just me?
