Before I pay $150 to speak with an expert for 30 minutes, I wanted to get input from this forum.
Regarding the SCOTUS decision and NY’s law being struck down, my understanding is that a New Yorker with a home permit for their pistol can now carry that pistol concealed anywhere in NYC, except in designated gun-free zones, without needing a CCW.
Some people have told me that this interpretation is logical but might need to be tested in court, meaning I could potentially be arrested first, which I am certainly not inclined to do. Obviously, the NYPD's website is still grossly outdated regarding the new regulations.
Does this seem like a reasonable interpretation?
clearly I prefer the home permit process over the alternative...
