Before anyone has a hissy fit over the title change (because I can absolutely see it happening); No, it had nothing to do with identity politics or whatever.
I believe the original title was, "Another trans shooter? Perry school". The question isn't the issue; rather that this was the first and therefore defacto thread on this shooting. That's pretty clearly not a very good general identifying title for the overall topic and so it got changed to one. It does perhaps concern me a bit personally that whether the person was trans or not came before just actually posting the story of it happening.. but that's a seperate thing and has nothing to do with the need for a better general identifying title on a serious story.

Iowa gunman Dylan Butler reportedly posted on social media site Discord saying he was ready 'for what's to come' and he was 'f****** nervous' before opening fire in small-town school​

The user was also part of a chatroom dedicated to discussing school shootings called "School Massacres Discussion,"' a Discord user who saw the user in the chat told NBC.

The Discord user said they had flagged the chatroom to the FBI in November, after which an FBI agent reached out over email and asked for more information.
The user emailed the FBI agent screenshots of the server but did not hear back. The chatroom was closed before the shooting.

Folks, is it to late, to wake up and realize, that we have an education problem in our country. They are screwing these kids up!!!
Parents are also much of the blame, for letting these indoctrination camps (schools) fukk their kids up!!!

There is nothing worse, than a parent(s), that drops in, AFTER, the damage is already done.
Tossing your kid a cell phone, pat his/her ass and sending them on their way, is NOT, parenting!

Its also not helping to tell people there is help out there either. There really isn`t.
Most of the doctors are telling them that they`re sick, and then hand them some feel good pills.

A good hard look into these schools, parents, doctors, are being ignored. That is exactly where the problems are!

Yep and look at how many teachers are quitting. There won't be any teachers to teach anything in this country. I think the average for teachers is between 3 to 5 years before they quit. That's due to no support from school administrators who side with the parents of the students that curse out or physically attack teachers.

Comes back to what i`ve said for a long time. We have a parenting problem in our country.

Some of these parents need an asswhoopin just as much as some of these bad POS kids.

Wait, if all these teachers quit, does that mean everybody`s school tax burden will be gone, too?

Like half my family is/was teachers. The ones that are still teachers say that it's gotten very bad, even in the rural school districts in NYS. One of them within a month had a gun pulled on them during class, and then two weeks later another kid pulled a knife on them in the parking lot then proceeded to break the windows of their car.

I mean, if you can't carry even a knife or pepper spray, how do you expect to work in those conditions?

They don't get hazardous pay for it. They don't get to carry weapons to defend themselves. No more corporal punishment.

After hearing stories from them, and how nothing is even done about it, the problems just continue to get worse and worse like we all read about on a daily occurrence.

Which then, as you all know, escalate into where the kid actually starts pulling the trigger killing people.

All I can say, when I was in school, being in a rural school, no one would dare to do something like that. Would never cross any of our minds to hurt a teacher. And the seniors were allowed to have rifles in their vehicles on school property. This wasn't that long ago either.

The furthest we would go to potentially "hurting" a teacher, would be to speak our mind using words if it ever got that far, but it was rare. Even then, usually there was more to the problem that needed addressing.

I agree. I got coworkers and friends that dump their kids off to these nanny centers because they don't "have the the time" to bring up their kids. I happened to get nosy one day, because one of them has a kids GPS tracker watch, and per week, the kid would spend 3/4 of the week at the nanny center! I'm surprised the kid even knows their parents names! I didn't say anything, but I was shocked, literally shocked.

To me, that borderline child abuse.

Yeah I wish. Frankly I think if you decide to have kids then all the parents should be taxed for schools while they are in school.
